Ilene Bartos, in her Colors of Fall/Summer workshop, teaches piecing with “ladders” and piping over cording. Your improvisational 9” blocks will be sewn on stabilizer for easy construction and then assembled as a 27” by 36” quilt.
Kits are available in two color-ways, $65 or Pattern, $23 and bring your own fabrics.

· Sewing machine in good working order with normal attachments, including a quarter-inch foot AND a Piping or Cording Foot (Bernina Bulky Overlock #12 foot)
· Rotary cutter, mat, rulers
· Thread – in a basic grey or tan to blend with your fabrics
· Fabric
o For Fall Option: 10 Fat Quarters, Green and Dark Green, Orange and Lt Orange, Yellow and Gold, Tan and Brown, Rust and Dark Rust
o For Summer Option: 10 Fat Quarters, Med. Pink and Dark Pink, Purple and Lavender, Med Blue and Dark Blue, Med Green and Dark Green, Light Gray and Med Gray
o 5¼ yards 3/16” cable cording
o 1 1/3 yards of fabric for backing and facing
· 1-yard lightweight stabilizer such as Pattern-Ease
· Freezer Paper
· Marking tools – pencil or permanent marker

Kits, which INCLUDE the pattern, for both Colors of Fall and Colors of Spring will be available in class for $65.00. Of course, you are welcome to bring your own fabrics.
