Learn raw-edged stacked fusible applique with Ilene Bartos. Your choice of 12 leaf designs come ready to fuse with minimal stitching for a 25”x25” wall hanging.


Supplies:
· Sewing machine in good working order with normal attachments, including a quarter-inch foot, if you have one.
· Rotary cutter, mat, rulers
· Scissors, both paper and fabric
· Highlighters
· Thread – black plus a basic grey or tan to blend with your fabrics (or color to match each fabric)
· Pattern - Pick any of the 12 patterns for $14 each. I will bring these with me (or you can buy on-line at www.ilenebartos.com but shipping will apply)
· Fabric as listed on the pattern:
o 4 fat quarters for leaf sections and background
o 1 fat quarter for the bottom whole leaf color
o 1 fat quarter black for shadow plus 1/4 yard for binding
o 1/8 yard black and white stripe
· Kits are available for $45 except for July which has a couple extra fat-eighths for $50 - All kits include the pattern.
· 1 1/2 yards of paper backed fusible - my favorite is Soft Fuse or Flexi-Fuse
· 20" x 22" of Parchment Paper, stitched together as needed (this is in place of the stabilizer listed on the pattern)
· Freezer Paper
· Marking tools – pencil and permanent marker
· Optional: Temporary Spray Adhesive such as Sulky KK2000
· Large baggies for organizing pieces
