Lecture: Trip Around the World in Folk Art Stitches, by Catherine Redford

A humorous, educational and interactive lecture including a game with prizes! I’ll take you on a trip around the globe with the quilts from my exhibit that debuted in April 2017 at International Quilt Festival in Chicago and was at Houston in October that year. Learn how I found my inspiration, the stitches I used and the finishing techniques I employed.

About Catherine: 

Catherine was born and raised in the northwest of England and now lives in Naperville, IL. 

She believes we all have an innate need to create in some sphere of our lives, being made in the image of a creator God. Quilting is her outlet of choice. She shares her love of quilting as an inspiration to others. She has found that as she passes on the knowledgeshe has gained on her journey she learns more tips and techniques that take here still further.

She has contributed to several magazines , has 2 books, and has appeared on Quilting Arts TV.
