IQI member, Chris Deering will be offering tips and tricks on the use of Layer Cakes.

Layer cakes are curated bundles of 10" squares of coordinating precut quilt fabric from a designer's collection.

Let's have a fun day of sewing and fellowship.

Chris has been quilting for over 20 years and an IQI member for most of that time. She loves all aspects of the craft, especially applique and scrappy quilts. Chris has had to stop going to quilt shops, as she is a sucker for the pretty fabrics – and especially layer cakes! She’s hoping that teaching this class will help her use up some of these lovely collections.

This is a Half-Day workshop for $45. Doors open at 9:00 and workshop starts at 9:30.

Supply list:

Layer cake fabric (10 inch squares)

General sewing supplies including rotary cutter and mat

Optional (for pouch or bag in addition to quilt):

-two 10.5 inch cotton batting squares

-12 inch zipper

-zipper foot for your sewing machine
